A Winter-luxe lunch with friends

Earlier this month, we transformed the Southern Wild Co Shedquarters into a Winter-luxe wonderland and shared a collaborative shoot with our like-minded local friends. Here we share a gallery of images and menu from our post-shoot, celebratory lunch.

The table was dressed in found and foraged botanicals by Beck Keep from Keep&Gather and featured our mismatched collection of vintage stoneware and local pottery, Southern Wild Co poetry vessels filled with tea lights and natural linen.

Celebrating all things local, artisan and Australian-made, our post-shoot meal was prepared by our good friend Susan Wakeford, chef and garden designer extraordinaire, and included a menu of local and in-season produce.

The Winter-Luxe Menu

Mushroom and artichoke risotto
Green Goddess salad with yoghurt dressing
Roasted sweet potato and white bean fritters
Raddicchio salad with blistered grapes & za-atar
Roast chicken with pork, cardamon & cashew stuff
Roasted spiced quinces with cream
Bread from the Black Cockatoo, Lawson

John from The Feelgood Farm (who also helps us with our bees), not only donated half his garden for the shoot, but also proved to be a dab hand at carving.

Shylo and Jules from Sunday Thistle in Bathurst

Beck Keep from Keep&Gather, pulled out all the stops at the last minute and arrived with a car filled to the roof racks with found and foraged botanicals to save the day.
