Eight Years of Scent, Story & Stillness: A Look Back

Southern Wild Co turns eight this month. It’s a milestone I never imagined when we first poured wax in a quiet country kitchen, guided by instinct, memory and a love for the Australian landscape.

In the years since, this little idea has grown into something far greater — carried by light, loss, ritual and the most beautiful community. To celebrate, I’ve gathered some of my favourite moments — flickers of time that shaped the heart of Southern Wild Co.

The Early Days – Making, Dreaming, Building

In the beginning, we did it all. The Shedquarters buzzed with scent experiments and candle pours, packaging decisions, and long hours spent dreaming up what Southern Wild Co could be. We wandered the bush in search of inspiration, pored over printer’s proofs, and built the brand’s visual language from scratch – heart first, hands on.

Always By Our Side – The Boys

Whether padding behind us through the forest, sleeping at our feet while we worked, or keeping us company in the quiet, the boys have always been there. Loyal, steady, and full of love. This journey wouldn’t be the same without them.

First Light – A Collaboration with Luisa Brimble

Our first creative collaboration: the Sirens shoot with the brilliant Luisa Brimble. A moment that marked our evolution — bringing scent, story, and image together to celebrate the beauty of women, wildness, and the land that shaped us.

The People – Workshops, Shoots & Shared Moments

What began as a solo pursuit became a gathering of kindred spirits. Our workshops and shoot days are filled with laughter, learning, and connection — people brought together by a shared love for scent, creativity, and the Australian bush. We’ll return to these in 2026, and we’d love to have you with us.

Everyday Rituals – With a Little SWC Magic

Morning light on old floorboards. Candles flickering on the table. Celebrations, quiet pauses, thoughtful gifts. Southern Wild Co has always been about these slow, soul-filled rituals — the ones that hold us steady, season after season.
